Happy day in Adoption Land!!!

Today we got some updated pictures of Delaney!!! We had given up honestly and figured we wouldn’t see anything new until the orphanage handed us the camera we sent once we got to China.  Boy were we surprised.  I called Larry and we talked to each other on speaker phone while together we looked at her little face.  I haven’t been able  to concentrate much since then.
Strawberries never looked so yummy!
Can't wait to share some with her.

Also unexpectedly, we received our NVC letter via e-mail today!   To update, we received our new I-800 on Friday and I quickly scanned it to our agency and they replied with an e-mail stating that we are now “LSC to China”.  That means  that the USCIS (United States Center of Immigration Services/Department of Homeland Security)  has approved us to adopt once again and more specifically to classify Delaney as our “immediate relative”.   Yippee, this completes the packet of forms we initiated right after referral in March.  The next piece (NVC letter) we were told would arrive in approximately 10 business days and we should also scan it to the agency immediately.  We weren’t expecting it until June 3rd or 4th so imagine our surprise when we realized they e-mailed it at 5:30 this morning!!!  Larry had gone to work and called  around 7:15 asking if I’d read e-mail.  And there it was, so I quickly opened the document and scanned it to our agency.  The NVC letter notifies us that the US Dept. of State National Visa Center has  forwarded our paperwork on to the US Consulate in Guangzhou China where our adoption will be completed!  This is such good news folks!!!!
